However, peripheral nerve research has long been slowed by valuable datasets sitting scattered across labs, journals, and repositories. They’re hard to find and harder to compare. NODE (the Neuropathy Open Data Exchange), a new bioinformatics tool launched by the CMT Research Foundation (CMTRF), is built to solve that.
Our webinar, Introducing NODE: A Shared Data Resource for Peripheral Neuropathy Research, features Dr. Meghan Drummond, CMTRF’s Chief Scientific Officer, walking through the full breadth of the platform and its impact.
The session covers the range of data NODE hosts, from human peripheral nerve tissue to pre-clinical models and iPSC-derived data, explaining how every dataset is vetted before it’s made available. It also showcases analysis tools, so scientists can explore the data with no extra steps.
Importantly, this tool is useful across peripheral nerve diseases, and we encourage researchers from other indications (ALS, diabetic neuropathy, etc) to explore it (and join the webinar if you’re interested in learning more).
